One thing I would change slightly is the ending, you have loads of characters on screen, so having different matches at the end with each having different dialogues would leave more to be discovered on the next playthrough.

what sort of timing feature? Like, counting down to game over ? Or just to know how long you took?
I mean how long you took. I feel like that would make it more interesting. Maybe a leaderboard, too.
